Pumpkin Picking

A had School trip to Pumpkin Patch last Friday. First I thought of volunteering then decided to pay for Gudiya (my daughter) and take her instead. We went to the school in the morning & I let her play in A’s class & the “village room”. She had so much fun in the playground and didn’t want to go on bus:-) They had blast picking pumpkins, on hayride & visiting farm animals. Even though it got very windy that day still it was fun:-)

In A's class she was playing with blocks when a boy came to see what she was doing. Can you see that innocent look in the first pic:-)

That pic with Gudiya holding the tiniest pumpkin is really sweet.

It looks like a real pumpkin patch as opposed to the fake one they set up next to our house :) I need to take my kid to the patch, it presents wonderful photo-ops.

Very cute - enjoyed the pics. We went to the pumpking patch nearby on Sat and Sun - they also had a bunch of rides there. My son (14m) looked too serious sitting in the carousel but he loved sitting on the hay and picking bits of it and handing it over to me - he was so thrilled to sit on a huge pumpkin too! Will be fun to go to a real farm now...

Gudiya is a real doll. WOW, I hope Indian schools offer such experiences as well else it will only be Anush and us going to do things such as these. Will you take up the HEIGHTS tag?

Tara : Thanks.. They did have great time there.. A was fine after 2-3 days.. And those days too he cried for hardly 1 minute.. I watched him from downstairs he stopped crying right away:-) Now even on weekend he tells me to take him school:-) Actually in the beginning when he used to tell me that he didn’t want to go to school, I used to tell him that his friends were waiting for him… He will have fun there & play with his friends.. Now he tells me “ Hurry up mamma, my friends are waiting for me”:-) Even that day on field trip I was taking care of gudiya & he was on his own with other kids. I wanted him to have different experience of independence without me giving him instructions:-)

TD : Thanks. It was real. Actually the one we went to last time was even better than the scary house of universal studio in cal. It was great.. You should go .. its really really fun:-)

Noon : Thanks. Im glad your son enjoyed it there. Now you can find some fruit & vegetable farm and make it an year around activity.. :-) Kids love to run around & look at all colorful stuff there.. ;-)

artnavy : I hope they do cuz its so much fun:-) otherwise I know you will make it fun for Anush..:-)

I2W : Thanks:-)

HTBM :Thanks:-)

@ : Thanks:-) When we went to check out schools for A, they said she was so ready for school too:-) but Im not ready yet:-)

Foodie’s Hope : Thanks. And consider me a regular visitor of your blog :-)

Prachi: Thanks.

Kalpana: Thanks.

gauri: Thanks. They had so much fun there:-) The one thing I like about living in NJ is the weather conditions. We have so many farm activities all year around but I can hardly wait for holiday season cuz its just so much fun that time.. I think it’s the holiday spirit, which adds the extra happiness in everything:-)
