Exactly the same thing happened to me recently, to a lesser degree. It was only 3 keys. It took me 20 minutes to set it right again.

From the fact that you used letters like f, v etc., I am guessing you were able to set they keys back into their place. How long did it take?

Well the kid has clearly said "Don't mess with me!" :) Wow - quite some act there! :) I have had a bunch of keys removed too - these days I am more careful the moment my son walks near the laptop I close it if I am going to be away from it...
Hope you were able to fix it! Photo spoke a thousand words here! :)

Foodie’s hope : Yes, it was my daughter:-)

TD : yeah, first kid get away with 3-4 keys.. Second one’s get the chance to strip almost every key apart… so wait for your next kid:-) 2 years back my son broke 4 keys too… I could only put 1 back and now I just don’t have the patient to try fixing even one. I got the secret tool now:-) Super glue… hehehe

I2W : I gave up on the idea to fix it the right way.. did you see almost all the keys are out.. So got the super glue & stick it:-) Most are fine, others I will take it out & fix again.. you know the dangly ones.. Can’t get all right in the first try:-)

Noon : Usually she is good & even play on it too but lately she is getting really angry & violent.. She bangs her hand on anything if she is in that mood.. And yesterday she was in that wild mood..

boo : Yeah, sometimes its safe & better to learn from others experience:-)

HTBM : Kids these days have this thing for computers:-) Or they are mad at them for keeping their favorite people:-)

Jayshree : yeah and Im her mommy who glued the keys back in no time. Even thought half of them are dangling still I can use them..:-)

@: tell me about it. She is very angry young lady lately. You could be right about the tag… I am going to take it out before she try to “have it all” again:-)

Anonymous: Oh I was mad too:-) I wanted to spank her but after 1 spanking she curled her lip, looked at me with those puppy eyes & spread her arms towards me to pick her up *sigh. Then all I did was kissed her but when I was gluing keys I yelled at her the whole time. I wonder if she understood cuz that time she was watching her favorite video:-) She has wrapped me around her tiny finger..;-)

Nee: yup:-) and after I glued the keys she was ready to use my laptop again.. If my laptop had feet it would’ve run away at the sight of her. No one tolerate that much abuse:-)
